Do you do call outs on Christmas Day? |
Yes, we offer a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year service. We even had contingency plans for the effects of the “millennium bug” and so we believe that our service would not be disrupted by any reasonably foreseeable events. |
Can we get hold of you at short notice outside of normal office hours? |
Yes, we have an on-call rota that ensures that there is always an engineer and a reserve engineer available. Outside of office hours we have a pager service that alerts the on call engineer as soon as a call comes in or the reserve engineer if the on call engineer has already been assigned. |
Can you maintain plant that we have been advised is obsolete? |
Yes, although spare parts may take longer to get and very old plant may not be economically maintainable. In either case we will make you aware of this through our service reports. |
Do you do work throughout the UK? |
Yes, in principle but emergency call out contracts are concentrated in the South East of the country for logistical reasons as are routine planned preventative maintenance. Installation, equipment sales and Professional Services are country wide. |
Do you install systems for laboratory gasses? |
Yes, we have installed a number of laboratory gas systems. Please contact us with your requirements. |
Do you install gas systems in vehicles? |
Yes, we follow the HTM 2022 for Ambulance gases and we would apply the same principles for installation into other vehicles, for example mobile testing vehicles. |
Are you registered to the Quality Assurance standard ISO 9000? |
No, we are registered to ISO 13485:2003 which is a specific Quality Assurance standard for Medical Devices and Medical Gas Pipeline Systems are defined as Medical Devices. BSI is our assessment body. |
Can you deal with liquefied gases? |
We can source VIE type equipment and the associated pipework and controls for running them. We cannot install or maintain cryogenic pipework systems. |
Can we open an account with you for the purchase of equipment and consumables? |
Yes, we will however take up appropriate bank/trade references, please also see our Terms and Conditions before requesting to open an account. |
What are your payment requirements? |
All invoices to be paid within 30 days of the date of issue. Payment may be by cheque, credit transfer or, by special arrangement, cash. |
Can they have one off visits, without having to be tied into a contract? |
Yes, but you will have to pay an increased premium for that service and we would require 2 weeks written notice. |
Can you do a one off “urgent” visit without having to be tied into a contract? |
Yes, we will try to offer a next day service wherever possible but our existing contracted customers will take priority. Again such a visit would attract a premium over and above the charges made to contracted customers. |
Can you do a one off “Emergency” same day visit, without having to be tied into a contract? |
Yes, but there will be a premium for this type of visit and our definition of “Emergency” applies. |
What is your definition of Emergency? |
An emergency is defined as a total system element failure where patient’s lives are put at risk, e.g. In a hospital where oxygen is supplied by a VIE and there is a cylinder based ESM and both unexpectedly become exhausted and there are patients reliant on oxygen, this would be classed as an “Emergency”. |
